The water fan is a practical air conditioning solution between a simple fan and an air conditioner. An inexpensive way to cool the house and humidify dry air in a room.
In fact, this device is a modified classic fan with a water vapor added to it. In this way, when starting, the water vapor is distributed throughout the room along with the air flow.
Of course, the results of these fans (also called nebulizers) are not as perfect as air conditioners, but they allow us to cool any room in our house easily and cheaply.
Most misting fans are floor models (there are no ceiling fans of this type). They have a wide column in which a steel or aluminum tube is attached. The head, where the blades are located, is protected by a net, like any other fan used. The water tank is located behind the head or in the base depending on the model.
When we turn on the fan, its mechanism absorbs the water in the tank and sprays it along with the exhaust air. The fine droplets of water mist evaporate quickly and help to reduce the ambient temperature naturally. Misting fans are actually a way to get rid of the suffocating summer heat.
Like many conventional fans, some models also have an oscillating motion to throw air in different directions.
